The cancellation of matches involving Bolton Wanderers, due to a players’ strike on unpaid wages, has led the Football League to issue disciplinary action via misconduct charges.

It is alarming that they are apparently considering the former declared bankrupt owner of Watford, Laurence Bassini with their non descript vetting procedures involving a possible take over of the trotters.

It is the Football Leagues hierarchy who are a liability and it is they who should face misconduct charges.

It is time for them to work their trotters and remove themselves from any involvement in football.
