Amorim, Garnacho – The Road Ahead Spread Your Wings – You Cockerels
Amorim, Garnacho
Chelsea’s tracking of Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho should have been rebuffed immediately by the United hierarchy, but Chelsea’s posturing was not, which highlights the club’s continued incompetence at that level, to suggest Amorim was sidelined on this activity. Garnacho can become the jewel in United’s futuristic crown and an understanding of this needs to quickly take place, Amorim will settle the indifference, the possible before enforced exit of the player by those above the manager. The press core huddles into trouble shooting with the press cuttings that Garnacho does not fit the system with Amorim’s change for Garnacho to work inside, to come into the fringes of the left-sided midfield, contrary to the press Manero sees the player adapting to the role, the Argentine can remain comfortable without hugging the touchlines.
Is too much emphasis placed on the Portuguese’s 3-4-2-1 system? If players cannot adapt in numbers, then a system change has to be set in play. To use the same old guard (players) does not work currently with the Amorim preference. The summer fruits of the transfer market will determine the Amorim future the Portuguese has demonstrated his will to ride tough, to face the challenges, no fears, not to be fazed, Garnacho is not the finished article but there’s no doubting his talent with the determination to face the challenges ahead, under the management of Amorim Garnacho can become United’s most valuable asset. That’s the road ahead, stick to it.
Spread Your Wings
The Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has been feeling the heat from the Spur’s supporters taking the blame for the never-ending drought of trophy’s, but no blame has been attached to two high maintenance managers of recent times, the Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, can they fall on the same sword at the North London outpost, salute your stance at the gates at the flack coming Levy’s way, flaky Spurs. Levy has to take credit for the new billion dollar stadium, finances the priority? Not football? Not trophies? Is windowed at Levy, is that why the stadium was built to house pop concerts? No faint hearts here, the music would put pay to that, the old White Hart Lane, those thumping hearts, feel the beat, perhaps Levy’s preference is to see Beyonce flashing her knickers in the air, no fur coat and all that, oops up side yer head, you cannot blame him, just a thought.
So, is it show time at Spurs on the stage of course, spread your wings you cockerels, below the stage we have the blades of grass, any entertainment there? Down Buggers Lane the natives would argue that plenty of goals are being shipped at the wrong end. So how has manager Postecoglou survived so long? Bums on seats, caviar dinners, a losing sequence of results, entertainment for the big britches brigade, time to take the flack again, those banners have been dusted down and brought to the masses, nothing changes, just the continued offshoots, the cash balance, it’s a Levy world. On the rank and file list Spurs are marked down at number nine in world football for the financial grab it all, no meltdown on that block, now that’s remarkable for a club delivering bugger all on the pitch.
Should the Spurs faithful be careful what they wish for? At Manchester United the Texas chainsaw butchers the Glaziers built a near on billion pounds of debt from a mole hill of being in the black, add the decaying Old Trafford stadium and leaking roofs, no umbrellas required at the Spurs supa dupa stadium. At Everton the departed owner Farhad Moshiri built his own pile of debt on the Glazier’s same hymn sheet, save a prayer for me, but a new stadium has been delivered, are the Spurs faithful an entitled lot who want it all? Postecoglou stated that he always delivers a trophy in his second season, is that in Ange’s second life? The hound of that dog leads the field, Spurs attached. A mouth watering 519.5 million pounds a year incoming revenue, the Beyonce knickers are freebies, nothing wrong with that. Does the problem lie with Levy skin flinting on players’ wages? 42 percent of the club’s revenue is laid on players’ wages, down the pecking order compared to other clubs, ouch there goes that cockerel again. If a player transfers to Spurs, expect to be paid a peanut, not quite, but you get the drift. The horn blowers say that top wages offered will land the top players, is that the case? And if so, do they always deliver? But no one’s delivering at Spurs, that’s for sure, overpowered by Beyonce? Dangerously in love? Levy with money, the Spurs supporters with the thought provoking trophies, Postecoglou with one’s second season syndrome, spread your wings you cockerels and that don’t fall on Beyonce’s watch.
